ABOUT US

This section is all about how we started.  My husband passed away in 2005.  I began seeing other people again in 2007.  I heard of this guy being in a terrible truck accident and his wife passed away.  Through a mutual friend I found out he was strugglling so I went to see him.  We became fast friends having both lost a spouse.  After another year passed we decided to become more than friends and began dating.  We got  married in 2009.

I worked at a local bank.  I had been there 10 years and since I was starting a new beginning in life I wanted to change that too.  We decided to get a New Orleans Southern Snow Snoball trailer.  I am from New Orleans, raised there all my life.  I came here in 2000.

So we began at a local farmer's market and enjoyed it immensely.  How can people be unhappy when you are gettin a snoball?  Or a snoball with ice cream in the middle and topped with cream?  We did that for a year.

That being said we decided well maybe we want to open up a little cafe.  We discussed it with family members and was going to do things a little differently.  In  hindsight I should have stuck to my roots more and did more New Orleans food from the get go.   But running a cafe is long hard hours.  After a year we decided to go completely mobile with a food truck/trailer.  We got a SnoWizard trailer from New Orleans.  The factory is on River Road in New Orleans and SnoWizard has a storefront on Magazine Street where you can go and get your fix.

So we modified the trailer to not just sell the best snoballs around, but New Orleans food also.  This was in 2012.  We continued to do

mainly farmer's markets locally here in St. Andrews and also in Lynn Haven which we still do when we are not booked elsewhere nowadays.

We starte doing more fairs and festivals in 2013 and even more in 2014.  We are booked most weekends now through the whole year.  We continue to do New Orleans foods and have expanded our menu this year to include Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya, Shrimp Creole and Bourbon Street Chicken.  We still continue to do lots of snoballs of course at many of the places we go, especially churches, schools, and daycares.
